About This Book

This book is intended for those already familiar with the basics of software architecture, since fundamental concepts are addressed only to the extent necessary to understand the material. It should be noted that what you are reading is no longer the notes in their original form: some of them contained incorrect conclusions, and certain topics were revisited multiple times over time. While we strive to preserve chronology, in a number of cases we depart from it in favor of a more logical narrative sequence. Incorrect conclusions are either removed or kept with an explanation of why they are wrong. The book is meant to be read sequentially, but in some cases it can also be used as a reference, since many chapters are structured as a “question — answer.”
